In the Vineyard: Pruning is nearly complete throughout the vineyard. As of this afternoon Block 2 Grenache (dry farmed, head trained) was looking clean and ready for bud break. That said…we’d much prefer the buds (and this warm weather) hold off to get us through the last few weeks of frost season.
In the Winery: With our first round of bottling complete we are maintaining the wines currently in barrel and preparing base blends for our 2011 reds.
In the Tasting Room: Inventory on our white wines is almost depleted (Ranch White 2009 is holding strong!) and we eagerly await the release of 2011 Cotes de Paso Blanc. Now is a particularly choice time to visit the tasting room as we are pouring a special flight of library wines in addition to the standard flight of current releases.
